We are incredibly blessed and grateful for the Lord's provision in our lives. Such a great first Thanksgiving as husband & wife!

Not sure what to title this one so I just started typing. We'll see what comes to mind by the end. So, I just finished a novel by James Patterson called Suzanne's Letters to Nicholas . Great read. I think I may have to recategorize myself from "not a reader" to "good-book lover". I don't feel it necessary to call myself an avid reader quite yet because I still need the book to hook me by about chapter 3 to be willing to stick it out, but I am starting my third book in a matter of two weeks, which is completely abnormal for me! the early days

What a whirlwind week. Oliver arrived 10 days early and the last 4 days have been the beginning of a lifelong journey that Matt and I have been looking forward to for the last 9 months. Parenting our sweet boy. It has been incredible. I just nursed him and he is sleeping soundly and as I watch him I am in awe. In awe that God formed him, knows him, is pursuing him even now, and finally entrusted him to us. Just...wow.  [pause. the sweet one I was just talking about has just filled his diaper and this mama has a job to do...5 minutes and one dirty diaper later, we're back.] Let the sap continue...... He's perfect! Trust me, I know he's not really  perfect, but I understand that love a parent has for a child now and for just a little while I want to revel in the illusion that he's perfect. fall fellowship

One year ago I attended my first Fall Fellowship with Rich Pond Baptist Church. It was such a great night spent on the Pemberton's farm. Our time was full of wonderful fellowship with our church family. At that time, Matt and I were just beginning to really notice each other and I realized he was kind of starting to single me out and pay attention to me in a different way. So, needless to say, Fall Fellowship 2012 brought back some great memories! Today Matt and I attended Fall Fellowship as husband and wife! Again, it was a great night of fellowship and fun! This year there was an inflatable slide, which of course all the adults took over toward the end of the night, hay rides, a huge bonfire, worship, preaching, yummy food, football, and lots of great conversation with fantastic people. We could not be more blessed by our church family. They are such a joy to be with. Grateful to the Lord for his blessings on our lives. Recognizing that it's all for His glory and our good. ...
